How to be an unstoppable woman like Jessica Pearson

Even if you have never watched the show Suits or Pearson ( her spin-off), by looking at the photos, you can be the type of woman Jessica Pearson is.

Who is the IT girl?
She is a fictional character played by Gina Torres, an absolute girl boss. She is the managing partner at the law firm where she works. Since her promotion, the firm has changed its names to Pearson, Specter, and Lit. Below are lessons we can learn from her character

   Jessica is most known for her style in the show. She is always put together, and in the rare moments when her life seems crumbling, she still looks like she put effort into her appearance. In a male-dominated office, Jessica’s style brings feminine elements into her space. She operates in her masculinity by being a boss and running a successful law firm. Still, the stylist incorporates colors, patterns, textures, and shapes with her wardrobe to add depth to her character. We can borrow the same style tips by always making our outfits enjoyable with one of the elements listed.

   Jessica is sure of herself and her values. Although there are times when those values are tested, and she makes the wrong decision, she is never afraid to admit when she is wrong. Knowing yourself protects you from manipulative people, whether romantic lovers, co-workers, or family. You need to achieve this to protect yourself. In life, we are faced with difficult decisions, and because of that, we have to be steadfast in some of our choices. Jessica is played with a decision once she finds out that a fraudulent lawyer is working at her firm and has been practicing law without a license. I won’t spoil the show for those who have not watched it.

   Loyalty is an attribute that can be bought. Yes, you read that right! However, integrity paired with loyalty makes a trustworthy woman. Unsurprisingly, Jessica broke the law by allowing Mike to continue practicing law at her firm for a while once she found out he was not an honest lawyer. To save all of the licenses of the lawyers at the firm, she confesses. In her spin-off, she is a disbarred lawyer who still continues to lead, command the room, and dominate in a new lane, politics.

   

   Her Courage

   It takes courage to fall from grace by owning up to mistakes and starting over in a new city. By learning power does not always come from position, Jessica demonstrates courage by moving and starting at the opposite at the bottom. Her name was tarnished by allowing a fraud to work at her firm in New York, and because of that, she relied on what helped her build her career in the first place: her mind.
