‘That Girl’ can mean a lot depending on who you are talking to, but in this case, being that girl is the woman who knows her worth, taking care of her physical and mental being and radiating love.
That girl is your healed and loved self.
That Girl is not easy.
I’m not sure which is more difficult, but I believe you have to shine inward to radiate out. Looking good is one thing, but the closer I’ve become to God, the easier it is for me to recognize how quickly someone might not have inner beauty.
Mental strength
Mental strength is something I have been focusing on for the past couple of months. The first way to become mentally strong is not to take things personally. As easy as that sounds, your emotions must remain checked when dealing with difficult people and situations. Mentally strong people do now dwell on the things that they cannot control. The sooner you understand that we do not fight with flesh and blood but with dark authorities in the spiritual realm.
Physically That Girl
Your healed and loved self might include your relationship with food, your body, and your ability to exercise. All three areas might need their own blog post to explore your relationship with food. Honestly, take the time to understand your behaviors. A quick fad diet will never keep you on the right track, but small, obtainable changes will motivate you to reset.
I joke and talk about how Womanhood can be so ghetto. It is not fair men can lose weight so quickly without all of the hormonal fluctuations. A part of womanhood is loving your body in whatever season it might be in despite societal pressures.
My fitness journey has been a roller coaster, but I finally fell in love with working out when I no longer sought it as a choir. Instead of going to the gym by myself, I found workout classes to enjoy. I even reframed my thinking to move my body daily and not think about the calories.
Your workout bucket list:
- Get fresh air
- Try a dance class
- Try mat, reformer, and mega former pilates
- Try out a boxing class
- Purchase a jump rope and do a 30-day jump rope challenge
- Sign up for Pole dancing
Be put together
Being put together sometimes looks different. Your best today might look different from tomorrow. Focus more on creating the perfect quick routine and less on the glitz and glam daily.
- Create a 15 min make-up routine
- Stick to a morning and night skincare routine ( smooth skin is the foundation to flawless make-up)
- Always style your hair

Discover your purpose
Life is not our own, and finding your purpose is the key to living a fulfilling life. That is not confusing with your current season. The season is a period in life where you will experience growing pains, victories, or valleys. The purpose is what you are meant to do; It fits you like a glove.
There are people in life that never find their purpose and there are others who are very successful but not actively participating what they are called to do.
Need help finding your purpose, follow this Game plan below:
Invite your creator
No one in this world, no book, podcast, or zodiac sign, can tell you what you are meant to do. God, our creator, is the one who will guide you to your purpose. It might sound cliche but try to give it a try. Any person who has told me they did not believe in God always seemed to believe in cards, crystals, zodiac books, and even that there are dark authorities. If that is easy, try believing in the God who created you. Ask Him for guidance.
Do not be anxious about anything; in every situation, present your requests to God through prayer and thanksgiving.
PhilippIans 4:6
Write down your passions
Write down things you are passionate about, causes that touch your heart, or areas you often volunteer in. When you are on the journey to become that girl and the woman you want to be, you realize that not everything is about you.
Volunteer for different causes
Volunteer and join organizations that serve a cause. The most popular are usually helping children, which is amazing, but try to think outside the box and volunteer in different areas. I recently volunteered to be a part of the social media team at my church because I love social media and have worked in it all of my life. It might not sound life-changing at first, but one Instagram share saved me and led me to the very church I currently attend.
