Lately, scrolling on social media I find myself indulging in content that talks about or shows consumerism. Overconsumption is another conversation for another day, but after endless first dates of explaining what I like to do for fun, I realized that I needed a hobby.
All hobbies are not created equal.
Growing up, my parents allowed me to try multiple activities including soccer, piano, flute, and cheerleading. I was always trying something new to discover my interest. The rule was, that I could try anything but was not allowed to quit in the middle of the season or a milestone.
I was allowed to not like something but not enough to quit.
Feminine hobbies are relatively hobbies that anyone can do no matter the gender, but I would like to consider them hobbies that help radiate feminine energy. We must use our feminine and masculine energy in modern-day society. These hobbies are a way to escape and a sense of balance whenever you need it.

Important things to note about hobbies
They will make you feel relaxed and enjoy doing activities outside of everyday work. If it feels like a chore, try something else on the list. Finding a hobby can be confusing, there is no wrong way or timeline to follow. If you are anything like me, do not pick a hobby by thinking of ways you can monetize it to make money. This is supposed to be fun! If you introduce the concept of monetization, it will overcomplicate the relaxation process.
The benefits of having a hobby:
- Reduce stress
- Boost creativity
- Improve mental health
- Gives you a sense of purpose
- Improve physical health
- Improve self-esteem
Try some of these and let me know how it is!
